Minimeteo iPad App

You’d have to be a design lover to shell out $1.99 for the latest iPad app release from Ministry of Simplification, yet another entry in the seemingly endless supply of apps designed to keep us informed about local weather conditions. Despite the fact that I already have three free weather apps installed on my iPad, I couldn’t help but add Minimeteo to what is quickly becoming a weather obsession. Instead of an unappealing mix of charts and graphs, advertisements and pop-ups, Minimeteo reduces weather to its basics, described in the international language of colours and symbols. The elegant, easy to use and navigate interface tells me everything I need to know in a quick glance. Since all of my weather apps are apparently incapable of predicting, or even accurately reporting on, Vancouver’s weather conditions, I might as well use the one that’s the most visually appealing.
